The “Agia Sofia” Children’s Hospital was founded in 1896 and was put into operation in 1901. It is the largest pediatric hospital in the country and one of the largest pediatric hospitals in Europe with seven hundred and fifty (750) beds. It accepts children up to 14 years old and in special cases older children.
